We are offering a summer placement for a university student with an interest in research, data and evaluation.

We are offering a summer placement for a university student with an interest in research, data and evaluation. You will support the Acorns Volunteering Team by collating responses to our volunteer satisfaction survey, analysing the responses, creatively displaying the results and supporting in the creation of a report to share with a range of stakeholders.

This placement is available in the summer holidays, would suit students on their summer break from university and is a great opportunity to put your research and data analysis skills to the test in a ‘real world’ situation.

You will gain experience in research and data analysis skills to support your studies, whilst also giving back to a local charity.

Applicants will be required to submit a short statement (no more than 500 words) along with their application, answering the question: ‘Why would you like to complete this role for Acorns?’

The placement will run throughout July and August. Ideally the successful candidate will be able to offer between 1 and 3 days a week support across this period.

Specific days are negotiable, as is location, which can be either remote, hybrid or office based to suit your needs.

Interviews will take place week commencing 15th June, with the role taking place between 6th July and 28th August.

What you will be doing

  • Collate the responses from our annual Volunteer Satisfaction Survey
  • Attend team meetings to share key insights
  • Create a range of tools to share the results with our volunteers
  • Contribute to the creation of a report, outlining the findings of your research and deliver a presentation to the Volunteering Team of your findings

  • To connect with likeminded people and make new friends
  • To boost your CV
  • There are opportunities to progress to other roles
