We are looking for volunteers to help us continue our weekly Walking Group at Lightwoods Park and House.

We are looking for a volunteer to join the current volunteers at the group which runs weekly. This is an established group and has people of all walking paces and we are looking for a volunteer who can spend some one on one time with participents as needed.

📍 Lightwoods Park and House

🕚 Tuesdays 2pm-3pm

☕ With the option to stay for a social in the café afterwards.

The purpose of this group is to help older people to stay connected within their communities, enjoy fresh air, and spend time with others while keeping their body and minds active.

The volunteer role is all about creating a friendly and welcoming atmosphere - encouraging conversation, supporting people to stay active and connected, and signposting where appropriate.

You don't need to be a fitness expert! An interest in older people's health, wellbeing and bringing people together is much more important.

We are hoping for a volunteer who can commit longer term, such as up to a year or beyond.
