📄 Volunteer Opportunity: Volunteer Admin Assistant – Social Enterprises & Wellbeing Support


Location: Better Pathways, 201–206 Alcester Street, Digbeth, Birmingham, B12 0NQ


Time Commitment: 1–2 days per week (flexible)

Are you organised, compassionate, and interested in gaining experience in mental health, wellbeing, and social enterprise support?


Better Pathways is looking for a reliable and empathetic Volunteer Admin Assistant to support the administrative functions of our Social Enterprises, while also assisting with wellbeing check-ins and mental health assessments for project participants.


This is a unique opportunity to build both admin and mental health support skills in a friendly, community-focused environment.


🔹 What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Supporting with data entry, record keeping, and general admin tasks
  • Assisting with scheduling appointments and maintaining contact lists
  • Undertaking wellbeing check-ins with participants
  • Administering wellbeing tools such as the WEMWBS (Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Wellbeing Scale) under supervision
  • Helping ensure assessment data is correctly recorded and filed
  • Liaising with the Social Enterprise team to support participant engagement and referrals


🔹 What We’re Looking For:

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A kind, respectful, and non-judgmental attitude
  • Interest in mental health, counselling, psychology, or social care
  • Confidence in working with people and using basic IT systems (Word, Excel)
  • Discretion and a strong understanding of confidentiality
