To develop and maintain strong relationships with local community organisations, helping them connect with the organisation’s directory and wider community.
Role Purpose
To develop and maintain strong relationships with local community organisations, helping them connect with the organisation’s directory and wider community network. The role involves identifying and engaging new organisations, supporting them through the directory registration process, maintaining regular contact and encouraging collaboration, events and partnership opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, research and engage with local community organisations, charities, groups and services that could benefit from being included in the directory.
- Contact organisations and explain the purpose and benefits of joining the directory, encouraging participation and building positive working relationships.
- Support organisations through the registration and onboarding process, ensuring their information is complete, accurate and up to date.
- Maintain regular check-ins with organisations on the directory to understand their needs, provide support and identify any changes to their services or contact information.
- Keep directory information accurate and current, following up with organisations where information needs to be reviewed or updated.
- Build ongoing relationships with organisations and act as a key point of contact for enquiries, support and signposting.
- Identify opportunities for organisations to collaborate with each other and with the wider community network.
- Support the development and promotion of community events, activities, workshops and partnership initiatives.
- Encourage organisations to share their events, services and opportunities through appropriate channels and the community directory.
- Work with internal teams and external partners to coordinate outreach activity and strengthen community engagement.
- Gather feedback from organisations to understand what support they need and identify opportunities to improve the directory and outreach service.
- Maintain appropriate records of outreach activity, contacts, conversations, registrations and follow-ups.
- Attend community events, meetings and networking opportunities to promote the directory and develop new partnerships.
- Ensure all engagement is carried out professionally and in line with organisational policies, confidentiality, safeguarding, equality and data protection requirements.
