Volunteer Email Marketing Assistant

What will you be doing?

We’re looking for volunteers to help us craft engaging, informative email content that connects with our members and supporters. Our email communications are a vital lifeline for sufferers and an essential way to share updates on events, campaigns, fundraising, and new resources. You will help us maintain consistent, meaningful contact that keeps people informed, supported, and inspired.

Tasks may include:

• Writing clear, compelling email and newsletter content with strong calls-to-action
• Sharing news on webinars, campaigns, research, and fundraising opportunities
• Helping segment our mailing list and set up automated journeys to improve engagement
• Assisting with email marketing strategies to raise awareness and promote growth
• Creating templates and workflows for personalised supporter experiences
• Analysing email performance and helping to improve click-through and open rates

What are we looking for?

• Strong writing and editing skills
• Experience using email marketing tools (Mailchimp preferred)
• Understanding of marketing principles and audience engagement
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• A passion for clear communication and supporting a meaningful cause
• Willingness to work remotely and communicate via email or video calls
• Familiarity with segmentation and automation (desirable, not essential)
