Summary

Help us create a welcoming, supportive and informative experience for people attending our event for the T1D (type 1 diabetes) community.

Detailed description

What will I be doing?

  • Assist with preparing the venue before attendees arrive, and support tidying up and packing down the venue after the event concludes.
  • Provide a warm welcome and assist with attendee check-in upon arrival.
  • Help attendees navigate the venue and address any questions they might have.
  • Assist in workshops and activities specifically designed for children and young people.
  • Participate in facilitated conversations on type 1 diabetes topics, sharing insights and fostering meaningful dialogue.

What skills or experience do I need?

  • Positive attitude to help attendees feel welcome and confident to share their stories.
  • Willing to be part of a busy team in an active role.
  • Organised and adaptable to change – your role might change throughout the day.

When do you need me?

Saturday 8 November 2025.

We'll provide you with the specific timings for each event, but typically, we’ll ask you to arrive around 8am to assist with setup and by 9am before attendees begin to arrive. The Discovery Day information events usually run until 3pm.
