Detailed description

Purpose of the Role

As an Adult Carers Team Manager Admin Support Volunteer, you will provide essential administrative support that enables the Team Manager to dedicate more time to leading the Adult Carers team and ensuring high-quality services for carers across Solihull.

You will enjoy structured administrative tasks, be organised, and feel confident working independently once trained, with ongoing guidance and supervision always available. Your support will help the team operate smoothly and efficiently.


Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Prepare for team meetings, including scheduling, booking supervisions, and basic minute taking.
  • Track and distribute staff training using our simple internal database.
  • Assist with administrative elements of payroll, purchasing, and internal reporting.
  • Obtain quotes and support purchasing processes.
  • Upload documents to our database and keep digital files updated.
  • Complete data entry in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other simple systems.
  • Complete form-filling tasks with information provided.
  • Carry out staff driving licence and insurance checks.
  • Collate data such as surveys or monitoring information.
  • Scan, photocopy, and organise paperwork as needed.
  • Support any other reasonable administrative tasks as agreed with the Team Manager.


Preferred Skills and Qualities

  • Minimum of two years’ administrative experience in a work or voluntary setting.
  • Confidence to work independently once trained, with support available.
  • Experience using simple databases and Microsoft Word and Excel; quick to learn new IT systems.
  • Highly organised, reliable, and able to manage tasks efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team player with a positive, proactive attitude.
  • Passionate about supporting high-quality services for adult carers.
