Detailed description

Purpose of the Role 

To support the Business and Communications team with a mix of administrative, finance, and communication tasks that help the organisation run efficiently and promote its work in the community. 

 

Main Tasks 

  • Assist with updating spreadsheets, invoices, and expense records. 
  • Support preparation of funding and finance reports. 
  • Help monitor and update contact databases and mailing lists. 
  • Support internal communications and help prepare newsletters or updates. 
  • Assist with scheduling and logging supplier or partner communications. 
  • Help with photocopying, scanning, and filing financial and communication documents. 
  • Maintain confidentiality and follow Carers Trust Solihull’s data protection and finance procedures. 

 

Skills and Qualities Needed 

  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Confident using Microsoft Excel, Word, and email. 
  • Basic understanding of finance or willingness to learn. 
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Reliable, professional, and able to work accurately. 
  • Discreet and trustworthy when handling sensitive information. 
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team.
