About the Role:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and confident volunteer to help keep our database of Young and Young Adult Carers (ages 5 to 25) up to date. In this role, you will regularly contact carers and families to ensure our records are current and to remind them of the support available from Carers Trust Solihull. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with experience in managing databases who also enjoys connecting with people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Update and maintain the database of Young and Young Adult Carers
- Contact carers regularly to check in with them and confirm their details
- Ensure that all contact information and personal data are accurately recorded
- Respond to queries or requests from carers in a friendly, supportive manner
- Record and manage feedback from carers to help improve our services
Who We’re Looking For:
- Experience using database systems (preferably Charity Log or similar)
- Confidence in contacting and speaking with people over the phone
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage data efficiently
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- A friendly, professional, and empathetic approach
- Ideally available for 6–8 hours per week, preferably on Mondays

There can be huge demands on a carer’s time, health, physical and emotional well-being. Our job is to make sure that someone is looking after them. We are here to offer advice, information, training, emotional and practical support and much needed time out or respite.
