Detailed description

Our new Dementia Café in Harborne( bordering on Quinton) aims to be a warm and welcoming social club for people living with mild to moderate dementia and their family carers.

Emphasis will be on our members connecting with people in the same boat and enjoying relaxing and interesting sessions, with activities determined by our members interests.

We may also welcome guest speakers in the field of dementia or specific topics as part of our programme.

Sessions run for two hours on a monthly basis.

We welcome volunteers with a variety of skills to share, ideally who have interest or experience in working with groups, and who have knowledge of, or interest in, dementia support.

As part of a small team your role will be vital in helping make our member feel welcome, assisting with refreshments and supporting with our activities.

If you have an interest in fitness, creativity or music that would be a bonus!

Informal enquiries are most welcome.

Our volunteers must be over 18 years of age and can evidence a right to live and work in the UK.

Getting there

Our venue is on a direct bus route with parking on and off site.
