Could you spare a day or even a few hours on Monday 22nd June, to help us sort and pack books for local schools?
Our group volunteering sessions are fun, well structured, and genuinely meaningful, offering people a chance to get hands on with a variety of tasks and support local children.
We now have brilliant new premises at Tyseley Energy Park, and we’d love people to join us at our new place!
We have lots of schools to prepare books for before the end of the summer term, it’s a busy period, and we’d be thrilled to have your support.
The day will involve helping us sort donations of pre-loved books, preparing them to be gifted to families in Birmingham and North Solihull. Additional activities include categorising and packing books, as well as creating celebratory bunting to accompany the donations.
We are a friendly, welcoming team, looking for individuals and groups who want to make a positive difference in their community.
If you're interested in offering your support but can't attend on Wednesday 24nd June, please get in touch as we have other dates available that week.
We are only 15 minutes from the city centre, please find us here: Unit 6, Tyseley Energy Park, Hay Mills, Birmingham, B25 8DW.

About Children's Book Project
Nearly one million children in the UK do not own a single book of their own. We believe every child deserves the chance to grow up surrounded by stories and feel proud to be a reader.
The Children’s Book Project is a registered charity working with settings across the UK to redistribute thousands of pre-loved and surplus books to the children and families who need them most.
Our work is rooted in sustainability. We collect books that children have outgrown or no longer read and gift them to those living in the most disadvantaged circumstances. This year, we are on a mission to donate one million books. Through our project, children in local schools are able to choose and keep books of their own, many for the first time.
