Earth Playhouse inspires children to love, protect, and connect with the natural world through creative play workshops.

Earth Playhouse is a new community interest company providing creative art and play workshops to children and young adults in the Birmingham and West Midlands area each month, gradually moving to weekly sessions.

Each workshop will help children to learn about environmental themes - from wildlife and ecosystems to climate care and sustainable living. We are passionate about teaching young people how to care for nature, animals and for one another.

Contact us to confirm your interest for the volunteer position, along with any questions you may have. Experience is not essential, although a passion for working with children and caring for the planet for future generations is an absolute must.

You will be asked to complete a short application form and we are required to undertake DBS checks for all volunteers who wish to work with children.

We will initially send invitations to successful applicants to attend our Launch Day (expected to be at the end of June), which will be an open forum for everybody to help plan our future sessions, based on play, creativity, kindness and protecting the planet.

During  future play sessions, volunteers will be expected to supervise and engage with young children, support creative arts and craft activities, story telling and speak with prepared notes about nature, wildlife and sustainability (Earth Playhouse will fully prepare volunteers and nobody will be asked to undertake activities they are not comfortable with).

As well as creating awareness, extending knowledge and inspiring young people in the community, volunteers will benefit personally by being involved with fun, educational and creative activities and the experienced gained will also be great for those who wish to work with children in the future.
