We are looking for people with access to a vehicle to help collect surplus food from supermarkets and transport it to our free community meal projects in Brum!
FoodCycle uses surplus food that would otherwise go to waste to provide 3-course vegetarian community meals at locations around the West Midlands, completely free of charge!
We have various surplus food collection slots across the north of Birmingham and the Winson Green area which supply our free community meal projects in Erdington, Falcon Lodge, Kingstanding, Quinton, and Walsall. As a surplus food collector volunteer, you'll help us make food collections and distribute the produce to the the projects where it's needed.
You'll be supported by our volunteer Surplus Food Coordinator and our existing team of experienced collection volunteers, as well as our Regional Manager. This volunteering is flexible and only requires a few hours a week, so we'll find a schedule for collections and drop-offs that works for you and the team.
You must have access to your own vehicle. Mileage expenses can be reimbursed.
Interested? Just drop us a message!
