Bringing health and wellbeing support closer to local community. Delivering healthy lifestyle checks and physical activity assessments where people are at.
Are you a former/active -
- nurse?
- healthcare assistant?
- have experience of taking and accurately recording Blood Pressure checks/weight management/AF.
Would like to use your skills in the community as part of our service which is designed to make support more accessible, practical and connected to local needs.
You will support a trained member of staff to engage with people across South Birmingham to bring health conversations, wellbeing checks and targeted support closer to where people live, meet and feel comfortable and follow up checks and calls as needed to support the team.
The primary focus is on early support, stronger local connections and measurable outcomes that help people improve their health and wellbeing over time.
The role requires flexibility. Could be an evening or weekend event. So if you are clear what day/s times you would be available.
Enhanced DBS will be required.
Reference given if required after 12 months of active volunteering.
Full training is provided. Out of pocket expenses reimbursed.
Our office base is in Harborne. The volunteering is across Birmingham so please consider this before applying.
Thank you for your interest!
