Trustees

The Journey LGBT+ Asylum Group is a support group for LGBT+ asylum seekers and refugees in the West Midlands.

We are looking for three additional Trustees to join our Board of Trustees and help to support and develop the organisation, ensuring members are at the heart of what we do. We are looking for people to bring energy, enthusiasm and commitment to the role, and who will broaden the diversity of skills, knowledge and experience on our Board.

We are particularly committed to recruiting Trustees with lived experience of the asylum process in the UK, who are more reflective of the communities we work with, and those who can offer skills in the following areas:

• Governance
• Finance and fundraising
• Safeguarding

This is part of an ongoing commitment to increase leadership in the organisation by people with lived experience of the issues we work on.
