A unique opportunity to make a life‑changing difference

Joining our trip to Lourdes as a Volunteer Nurse is a chance to be part of something truly special. You’ll help support adults who have disabilities, complex health needs, or limited mobility to experience  a relaxing break away.

What You’ll Do

As a Volunteer Nurse, you will play a vital role in making the journey safe, comfortable, and positive. Your responsibilities may include:

  • Acting as Lead for care, safeguarding, and first aid within the group
  • Leading on manual handling
  • Completing daily checks for medication administration
  • Providing personal care such as washing, dressing, toileting, mobility support and feeding for travellers with complex care needs.
  • Offering mobility support, including assisting with transfers and using hoists safely if required

Why It Matters

For many travellers, a Jumbulance trip with volunteer care support is their only opportunity enjoy a break away. Your support enables them to:

  • Enjoy friendship, fun, and a sense of belonging
  • Travel in a safe, accessible environment designed around their needs
  • Make new memories

Your presence contributes to making the impossible possible for people living with disability and complex health needs.

We have access to funding to subside the cost of the trip for registered nurses and medical professionals.  Our base cost is £475 and we can offer a subsidy reducing the cost to £330.  If the cost is a barrier please let us know as we can access additional funding.  The cost includes travel on the Jumbulance, accommodation, majority of meals and day trips.

This trip will be leaving from selected locations in the midlands.
