Trustee Opportunity - Karis Neighbour Scheme

Are you passionate about strengthening local communities? Do you want to use your skills and experience to make a lasting difference in Birmingham? Karis Neighbour Scheme (KNS) is seeking new Trustees to help lead and shape the future of our well-established and much-loved charity.

For over 25 years, KNS has been bringing hope, practical support and connection to people in Ladywood and Edgbaston. Through our dedicated volunteers and projects, we offer emotional support, befriending, advocacy and practical help to individuals and families facing challenging circumstances. 

As a Trustee, you will play a vital role in:

 Providing strong governance and strategic oversight

 Ensuring the charity fulfils its charitable objectives

 Safeguarding our values, resources and long-term sustainability

 Helping shape and deliver our strategic direction

 Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, including charity and company law

We are seeking individuals who:

 Believe in the mission and values of KNS

 Are committed Christians (see Statement of Faith and Guiding Principles document)

 Understand and value good governance

 Bring sound judgement, integrity and strategic thinking

 Are committed to serving the local community

 Are keen to work alongside a team of enthusiastic fellow trustees
