The Refuge youth club is a safe space for young people in the local community.
Each week, young people from the local secondary school and beyond come to socialise, engage in informal learning, participate in activities, play games, have discussions, and go on trips. As The Refuge’s work expands, our partnerships with other local organisations and youth providers continue to strengthen. The youth club remains a haven and supportive space for local young people, some of whom come from disadvantaged backgrounds.

About New Life Wesleyan Church
New Life Wesleyan Church, based in Handsworth, Birmingham, is a branch and head office of The Wesleyan Holiness Church – British Isles District and is a registered charity in England and Wales (charity number 1162103). Our charitable activities seek to be of benefit to the general public as well as to our members. In reaction to various national crises like the cost of living and an increase in poverty, we have addressed the community's needs through ongoing initiatives and projects, in addition to introducing new ones. We run a food bank every Thursday between 1.00pm and 3.00pm and a warm welcome space every Tuesday between 12.00pm and 2.00pm that provides a hot meal and a space to connect with others. We also have access to support for those who need help and advice, which is provided by Citizen Advice.
