Summary
Calling all Fundraisers! This role is to lead and coordinate fundraising activities for Radio Lollipop Birmingham (approxiately £14,000) per year.
Detailed description
This role forms part of our Station Management Team (all volunteers) and is responsible for leading our fundraising, working with the rest of the team to raise the funding required to operate. It is a creative position, sharing our stories to generate funding. You will:
- Adhere to Radio Lollipop's mission and values.
- Develop and deliver (with the team) a fundraising programme to meet our financial needs.
- Generate and monitor a station fundraising/donor database.
- Assess all fundraising activities in advance for viability.
- Look for and apply for funding grants.
- Liaise with the Radio Lollipop Central Fundraising Group, attending meetings as required.
- Work closely with the station Chairperson.
- Attend national training events.
- Act as an ambassador for Radio Lollipop, actively promoting the best interests of the charity in the local area and raising awareness to generate funds.
- Ensure brand consistency, tone, messaging and visual identity.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a real interest in children and making a difference in their lives.
- Has some knowledge of the fundraising world and can turn stories into funding.
- Has a knowledge of social media.
- Has great communication skills and the ability to engage others and network.
- Works flexibly, collaboratively and with integrity.
- Can commit to 2-3 hours a week for at least 12 months.
- Is happy and flexible to commit to occasional evening or weekend availability.
- Is willing to attend induction, training and management team meetings.

About Radio Lollipop
Volunteers working at the bedside and within the radio studio, providing care, comfort, play and entertainment to children in hospital and their siblings. We deliver a unique combination of radio and play, arts, crafts, games, toys, always focussing on the child.
