The person who takes on the role of Literacy Support should, ideally, have a background in teaching reading/literacy preferably but not necessarily with adults.
Our Literacy Supporters bring their experience and expertise to provide support to Reading Coaches and assist in running the Reading Coach Meetings. They feel a real sense of pride in being able to give practical solutions to their Co-ordinators and Reading Coaches to give our new Readers the greatest chance of success.
You will be a member of the Management Team, need to be able to attend 4/6 meetings every other month and give updates at the meeting.
