You will provide free, confidential, one-to-one reading coaching for an adult who struggles with reading.

You will develop the literacy skills of an adult who has difficulty with reading. You will meet for about 40 minutes up to twice a week in a local library in south west Birmingham. You will deliver a tried and tested reading course written especially for adults. You will be supported by your coordinator. You will receive initial training and from then on regular guidance from our Literacy Specialist. You will attend Coach Meetings approximately every 2 months where you will meet other coaches and be able to share ideas. We welcome applications from people who are prepared to travel to meet their learner reader at a library in SW Birmingham. We work in the libraries of Kings Heath, Kings Norton, Northfield, Weoley Castle, Harborne and it is the reader who chooses the library, not the coach.
