Here at St Andrew’s Healthcare in Birmingham, we are looking for volunteers who have a registered Pets as Therapy (PAT) dog to help bring joy to people living w

Our PAT dog volunteers bring real joy to our patients and staff when they visit with their dogs - either on wards or at various patient events.

 

Our volunteers are reliable, non-judgemental, warm, friendly and good listeners, with a good sense of humour and good communication skills – if this sounds like you and you would you like your dog to bring happiness to others, then you and your four-legged friend could be the volunteers we are looking for.

 

To become a PAT Volunteer here at St Andrew’s, you will need to:

  • Have owned your dog for at least 9 months
  • Be registered with the national Pets as Therapy Association

What we will provide to volunteers
