Do you have a dog who loves people? Do you want to bring joy to people living with mental health? Then being a PAT Dog Volunteer might be for you!
Detailed description
Our PAT dog volunteers bring real joy to our patients and staff when they visit with their dogs - either on wards or at various patient events. To become a PAT Volunteer, you will need to have owned your dog for at least 9 months and to first register online with the national Pets as Therapy Association via their website.
Are you reliable, non-judgemental, warm, friendly and a good listener with a good sense of humour and good communication skills? If you would you like your dog to bring happiness to others, then you could be the volunteer we are looking for. If you would like to join our sociable, pro-active and award-winning team to help make a real and positive difference in our patient’s lives, you and your four-legged friend could be just what we are looking for. Free training, support, and social opportunities are all part of the benefits of this wonderfully rewarding role.
