Support people with disabilities to build social skills and confidence, helping them engage in community activities, make connections, and feel included.

As a Social Training Support Volunteer, you will assist individuals with disabilities in developing the confidence and social skills needed to interact with others and participate in community life. The role focuses on helping people feel comfortable in social situations, encouraging communication, and supporting them to build meaningful connections.

You may help facilitate small group activities, practice everyday social interactions, accompany participants to community events, or simply provide a friendly and supportive presence. Your encouragement can help individuals improve their communication skills, increase independence, and reduce feelings of isolation.

This role is ideal for someone who is patient, empathetic, and passionate about inclusion. No specialist experience is required—just a positive attitude and a willingness to support others in a respectful and encouraging way. Training and guidance will be provided to help you feel confident in the role.

By volunteering, you will play an important part in helping people with disabilities feel valued, connected, and empowered to engage socially within their community.
