The Volunteer Coordinator plays a vital role in recruiting, supporting, and managing volunteers to ensure the organisation’s services and activities run effectively. Key responsibilities include:
- Recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new volunteers
- Providing training, guidance, and ongoing support to ensure volunteers understand their roles and responsibilities
- Coordinating volunteer schedules and assignments to meet organisational needs
- Monitoring volunteer performance, providing feedback, and recognising achievements
- Maintaining accurate volunteer records and ensuring compliance with safeguarding and health & safety policies
- Acting as a first point of contact for volunteer queries and concerns
- Supporting the planning and delivery of volunteer-led activities, events, and community initiatives
