A surplus kitchen needs helpers for turning surplus fresh produce that would otherwise go to waste into healthy nutritious meals

You'll work side by side with our kitchen staff turning surplus food into tasty meals that are distributed across the city. This role could cover everything from sorting and prepping produce, to cooking and packaging the meals. You'll be working with a friendly staff team who take responsibility for overall delivery and keeping everyone safe. This is a great change to learn about the practicalities of sustainability, fight poverty, and of course taste lovely food (Lunch is included!)

Shifts are between 10am-3pm on weekdays. You do not have to stay for the whole shift - even a couple of hours is helpful.

What will I be doing?

  • Sorting, prepping and chopping produce
  • packaging meals and washing up
