A city kitchen in Digbeth is turning surplus fresh produce that would otherwise go to waste into healthy nutritious mealsDetailed description
A city kitchen in Digbeth is turning surplus fresh produce that would otherwise go to waste into healthy nutritious meals. This role is the first and very critical part of the process: collecting the vegetables at the wholesale markets which are used in the meals. This means speaking to markets vendors, sorting through fresh produce and a bit of data-entry. The role also involves some lifting and use of light machinery such as pallet trucks. All is carried out under the supervision of our fantastic markets lead Mani.
