Summary

We are training a cohort of Breastfeeding support volunteers to support families across Birmingham, at community venues and on hospital maternity wards.

Detailed description

As a Breastfeeding Network (BfN) Helper, you’ll provide information and support to families to help them meet their breastfeeding goals. Helpers offer a listening ear, encouragement, and evidence-based information to parents through local groups, community activities, and online or telephone support.

You must have experience of breastfeeding one baby (including expressing breastmilk)

Priority for spaces will be given to Birmingham residents. We are keen to ensure the volunteers represent the local population so encourage applications from people who speak other languages – please include detail in your application if this applies to you.

Following completion of the training and registration with the Breastfeeding Network, volunteers will be expected to commit to regular volunteering for a period of at least one year.

Please contact me or access the Breastfeeding Network online for the link to apply
