We are training a cohort of Breastfeeding support volunteers to support families across hospital Neonatal units in Birmingham.

We are training a cohort of Breastfeeding Network peer support volunteers to support families on the Neonatal unit in Birmingham and Telford hospital’s.

We are keen to ensure the volunteers represent the local population so encourage applications from people who speak other languages – please include detail in your application if this applies to you.

YOU MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE OF HAVING YOUR OWN BABY ON A NEONATAL UNIT and have experience of breastfeeding one baby (including expressing breastmilk)

Priority for spaces will be given to Birmingham residents. We are keen to ensure the volunteers represent the local population so encourage applications from people who speak other languages – please include detail in your application if this applies to you.

Following completion of the training and registration with the Breastfeeding Network, volunteers will be expected to commit to regular volunteering for a period of at least one year.
