Volunteer to help run the drop-in centre in the heart of Sutton Coldfield for 12-18 year olds.Detailed description
The Venue is our drop-in that opens after school on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 3:30pm - 5:30pm, apart from bank holidays. The Venue is a safe space for young people to come hang out and chat. Volunteers help run the session, talk with young people and offer support. Staff are trained in one to one mentoring (Level 3) and there are opportunities for volunteers to become mentors at the drop-in centre or in the schools and colleges we work in.
There is a pool table, air hockey, table tennis, PlayStation, darts, card games, and a recording studio.
Our Venue volunteers need to be 18 or over and ideally be available for at least one Venue session a fortnight as it's really important to be consistent in our building of relationships with the young people.

The Venue
An informal drop-in centre and a safe space after school or college in the heart of Sutton Coldfield. It is open 15:30 - 17:30 Monday, Wednesday and Fridays, excluding bank holidays. The Venue has sofas, a pool table, table tennis, Playstation, card games, a recording studio and hot chocolate.
HeadSpace
Working in schools and colleges delivering assemblies, workshops and one to one mentoring.
OutThere
Street youth work out and about to connect and engage with young people on the streets of Sutton Coldfield Town centre and the surrounding areas.
Studio
A recording studio for podcasts and song writing.
