Could you help us to grow our online engagement and awareness for our charity and services. Help develop and manage our social media channels and website.
About the role
Create and schedule engaging content (posts, stories, etc) in line with the organisation’s voice. Also to help maintain, update, and improve our website so it remains engaging, accessible, and up to date. Volunteers will collaborate with the Retreat Director to ensure messaging aligns with the organisation's mission.
We need you to:
- Create and schedule engaging posts for platforms such as Instagram and Facebook.
- Build and grow our presence on social media helping us to reach more people and organisations to use our services.
- Monitor comments, messages, and mentions, responding in a timely and friendly manner.
- Update and create new website content (text, images, events, news), ensuring pages are accurate, well-formatted, and easy to navigate.
- Work closely with staff or other volunteers to gather relevant stories, information and updates and share your skills.
Key skills required
- Confident using social media platforms and basic content creation tools (e.g. Canva).
- Basic knowledge of website platforms (e.g., WordPress).
- Strong written communication skills with an eye for tone and detail, and a professional manner when communicating online
- Creative, proactive, and able to work independently.
- Friendly and approachable, with a positive attitude.
Volunteers will need their own equipment (Laptop/Tablet, broadband etc) and able to cover times throughout the week (remotely).

What you can expect from us
- Training around using managing websites and social media (and social media management software provided as well as ongoing support.
- This is a voluntary role with no payment, but reasonable expenses may be reimbursed with prior agreement.
- Opportunity to share weekday midday prayers and lunchtime with other staff and volunteers.
