Disability organisation - fundraising volunteer support fundraising for organisation
As a Fundraising Volunteer, you will support a disability organisation in generating essential funds that directly contribute to services, programmes, and community support for people with disabilities. Your role helps ensure the organisation can continue delivering inclusive activities, advocacy, and practical assistance.
You may be involved in a range of fundraising activities, including planning and supporting events such as charity runs, community fairs, auctions, or awareness campaigns. This can include setting up event spaces, assisting with logistics, welcoming attendees, handling donations, and providing general on-the-day support.
You may also help with digital and community fundraising efforts. This could involve promoting campaigns on social media, sharing fundraising pages, engaging with local businesses for sponsorship, or helping distribute promotional materials such as flyers and posters.
A key part of the role is raising awareness of the organisation’s mission and encouraging community involvement. Volunteers often act as ambassadors, speaking with the public about the impact of donations and encouraging ongoing support.
This role is suitable for individuals who are enthusiastic, dependable, and comfortable engaging with people. No prior fundraising experience is required, as training and guidance are usually provided. It is an opportunity to develop valuable skills in communication, teamwork, organisation, and event support, while making a meaningful difference to the lives of people with disabilities.
