The Volunteer Service Coordinator supports the day-to-day delivery of mentoring programmes and events, ensuring volunteers are organised, informed, supported.
The Volunteer Service Coordinator helps run mentoring programmes and events smoothly by organising, supporting, and communicating with volunteers. They act as a key link between volunteers, coordinators, and management to ensure a high-quality, inclusive experience for participants.
Key Responsibilities
1. Volunteer Coordination & Scheduling
Create and manage weekly volunteer schedules with the team, ensuring all sessions and events are fully covered. Share updates clearly and on time.
2. Day-to-Day Operations
Support daily operations alongside the COO, helping organise activities, events, and resources while responding to any issues that arise.
3. Communication
Act as the main contact between volunteers and management. Keep everyone informed by sharing updates and important information clearly.
4. Meetings & Coordination
Co-lead regular coordinator meetings, help plan weekly activities, and highlight any issues or improvements needed.
5. Issue Resolution & Support
Help resolve day-to-day issues, support volunteers and coordinators, and escalate more serious concerns when needed.
6. Volunteer Support & Admin
Assist with managing volunteer availability, leave, and records. Ensure volunteers feel supported and valued.
7. Quality & Standards
Monitor service quality, address any delivery issues, and support ongoing improvements.
8. Inclusion & Environment
Promote an inclusive, respectful environment and help create a welcoming experience for all participants, including disabled adults.
