The Volunteer Service Coordinator supports the day-to-day delivery of mentoring programmes and events, ensuring volunteers are organised, informed, supported.

Volunteer Service Coordinator

The Volunteer Service Coordinator helps deliver mentoring programmes and events each day. They make sure volunteers are organised, informed, and supported so everything runs smoothly.

This role involves working closely with volunteers, coordinators, and management to create a positive and inclusive experience for everyone involved.

Key Responsibilities

1. Volunteer Coordination & Scheduling

Plan and manage weekly volunteer schedules with the team. Make sure all sessions and events are fully covered and share updates on time.

2. Day-to-Day Operations

Support daily activities alongside the COO. Help organise sessions, events, and resources, and deal with any issues that come up.

3. Communication

Be the main point of contact between volunteers and management. Keep everyone updated with clear and timely information.

4. Meetings & Coordination

Help lead regular team meetings, plan weekly activities, and raise any issues or ideas for improvement.

5. Issue Resolution & Support

Support volunteers and coordinators with day-to-day challenges. Resolve problems where possible and pass on more serious concerns when needed.

6. Volunteer Support & Administration

Help manage volunteer availability, leave, and records. Make sure volunteers feel supported and valued.

7. Quality & Standards

Monitor the quality of sessions and events. Address any issues and support ongoing improvements.

8. Inclusion & Environment

Promote a respectful and inclusive environment. Help ensure all participants, including disabled adults, feel welcome and supported.
