The Summer Solstice Allotment Festival is a free community celebration focused on culture, heritage, wellness, and nature.

Celebrate the arrival of summer at the Summer Solstice Allotment Festival, a vibrant gathering designed to honour community, culture, wellbeing, and the natural environment. Set within the green surroundings of Uplands Allotments, this free festival offers an immersive day of activities for all ages.

Organised by With Nature In Mind in partnership with The Red Earth Collective and in collaboration with Uplands Allotment Co-operative Association, the festival brings together local residents, families, growers, artists, and wellness practitioners for an afternoon of community connection and outdoor activities.

Our volunteers will support us with:

  • Escorting visitors around the allotment
  • Assisting stallholders
  • Assisting workshop facilitators
  • Keeping areas clean
  • Helping to move tables and chairs
  • Helping with the set-up of marquees on the grass area
  • Helping with packing away at the end of the event.

Volunteers will be provided with lunch and reimbursed for travel expenses of up to £10.
