Event Overview

Bridge Point Healthy Living & Wellbeing Programme is a community-based programme designed to support older adults, unpaid carers and residents who may be experiencing isolation or need additional health and wellbeing support.

The programme brings trusted organisations and professionals directly into the community, making it easier for residents to access health information, carer support, digital inclusion, practical advice, preventative health services, social connection and appropriate referral pathways.

The September programme at St Cyprian’s Memorial Hall, Hay Mills, Birmingham covers:

  • 4 September: Healthy Living, Wellbeing & Carer Support
  • 11 September: Staying Connected – Digital Inclusion & Wellbeing
  • 18 September: Diabetes Prevention, Falls Prevention & Carer Support
  • 25 September: Men’s Health – Prostate Cancer Awareness & Early Detection

A key aim is to identify residents and hidden unpaid carers who may not already be accessing support, build trust through face-to-face engagement, and, with consent, connect them to appropriate Birmingham services.

The programme combines prevention + early intervention + community connection + referral + follow-up, rather than operating simply as a series of information sessions.
