Summary

We are starting an inspiring community project that will use music, singing and playing of musical instruments to improve the well-being of the community.

Detailed description

Music has always played a powerful role in our society. Music also plays a vital role in the recovery, healing and wellbeing of people who are struggling with mental health challenges or long-term health conditions. Furthermore, music and the playing of instruments helps overcome loneliness and surely brings the community together.

We are in need of individuals who can lend a helping hand with arranging the chairs; placing the portable handheld musical instruments on each seat; helping the elderly or physically challenged to come into the Activity Room; and help with putting the chairs and instruments away, after the activity.

Can we count on your helping hands?

This uplifting and inspiring community project starts on Thursday, 4th of September in Erdington and will run for 6 months. It will run every Thursday from 11 am - 1 pm. However, you get to choose which week(s) and time(s) that you are available.

The activities range from being part of The Fitness Choir, participating in SingYourMoment or having fun with the "Drum & Bond" workshop. All in all, these are amazing and uplifting activities for the community. However, we are in need of a few helping hands.
