Can you support our annual Neighbourhood Festival and help us to raise awareness about climate change, environment, wellbeing and green spaces in the city?

The festival takes place from Friday 26th June 2025 – Sunday 28th June 2026 and we would welcome volunteer support over each of the three days between 10am - 5pm.

The Neighbourhood Futures festival brings together local residents, community organisations, businesses, artists, educators, and decision-makers to share ideas, learn from each other, and take action for a better future. People of all ages are invited to join, experiment and take action to discover how our shared spaces can support healthier, fairer and greener urban futures.

On the Friday the festival will bring together local organisations, urban green and growing spaces, community groups, residents and anyone passionate about their neighbourhood and environment.

On Saturday and Sunday, the community comes together to celebrate nature and togetherness with two days full of family-friendly play and exploration. Storytelling, theatre, music, outdoor play, wellbeing activities, arts and crafts, and hands-on experiences will bring sustainability to life for people of all ages and backgrounds.

Volunteers can get involved in a variety of roles providing help to set up and pack down activities, welcoming visitors, helping in the café, assisting workshops and information stands, physical activity events, fundraising and litter picking.

Depending on your skills you may be engaging with participants using surveys, audio interviews to find out what people have gained from the event. Or you might be helping to promote and market the event to our communities, helping to deliver the right message to engage with a diverse audience. Whatever your skills, your support will be very welcome!
