About Climate Ed

Climate Ed teaches children about climate change and empowers them to take action through our five-part workshop programme. Our workshops help primary school students to understand the concept of carbon footprints and aim to raise their carbon literacy. We make use of volunteers to deliver our programme in order to harness their energy and dynamism, because that is often the thing which helps to inspire children – the presence of a real person, sharing why they care about climate change. We currently work with primary schools across the West Midlands and the feedback received from staff and students shows that our workshops are effective: • 94% of students reported that the workshops improved their knowledge of climate science • 83% of students felt inspired to act with their families • 96% of teachers said they would recommend our workshops to a colleague
