Role Overview:

As a Project Development Assistant, you will assist in the design, development, and implementation of various youth and community projects. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain experience in concept development, project development, and project management. You’ll work closely with our team, local communities, and external partners to help drive impactful and sustainable initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Design and Development:
  • Support the team in identifying community needs and developing project concepts.
  • Assist in planning and developing new projects, ensuring they are aligned with our strategic goals.
  • Help prepare project proposals, including objectives, timelines, and budgets.
  • Project Management:
  • Support the implementation of projects, ensuring they stay on track and within budget.
  • Assist in monitoring project progress and reporting on achievements and challenges.
  • Prepare updates and reports for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation:
  • Assist in the development and implementation of frameworks to assess project impact.
  • Collect and analyse data to measure project outcomes.
  • Help prepare case studies and reports that showcase the impact of our work.

Person Specification

  • Strong interest in community development and the charity sector.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Good writing skills, with experience in preparing reports or similar documents.
  • Proficiency in basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Enthusiasm, willingness to learn, and a commitment to the values of The Community Foundation.
