We are seeking a compassionate and qualified midwife volunteer to support the launch of Essence Cares: Women’s Wellness Wednesdays – a weekly community clinic providing free prenatal and antenatal care, blood pressure checks, and emotional wellbeing support to women across Birmingham.
You will play a vital role in helping women access trusted, sensitive, and professional support in a safe and welcoming environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver basic prenatal and antenatal checks/workshops
- Monitor and record blood pressure
- Provide advice, reassurance, and signposting
- Support women from diverse backgrounds with dignity and care
- Work alongside community volunteers and students on placement

Who We’re Looking For:
- Qualified midwife (NMC registered or retired)
- Warm, respectful, and culturally aware
- Confident working independently and in a team
- DBS check required (we can support with this)

Our new Essence Cares: Women’s Wellness Wednesdays clinic offers free prenatal and antenatal checks, blood pressure monitoring, emotional wellbeing support, and community health awareness. We are seeking passionate volunteers, including NHS professionals, students on placement, and community members, to help us deliver vital services to women in Birmingham.
