Summary
We're looking for a warm and supportive person to join our committee and take on the role and duties of Secretary to our Friends group.Detailed description
We've been going just a couple of years and have done all the initial setting up administration and now are looking for someone to step in to this role to keep us on track. As Secretary you would be a member of the FoPCM committee, attend committee meetings, and help FoPCM by fulfilling administrative duties. E.g.
- Preparing agenda and meeting minutes
- Keeping activity records
- Manage member information & contact details
- Manage the policy updating process
- Complete other admin as required.
This will be a satisfying role for anyone who believes in creating supportive communities who take pride in where they live and look after the environment as well as each other. As a Friends group we are caring for and developing our local park and helping connect local people to nature. As a committee, we create a stable foundation for community engagement and development.
About Friends of Perry Common Meadows
Our Friends group is special. And it's not just because of our warm and inclusive ethos. As well as looking after Perry Common Meadows in the north of Birmingham, we also look after the oldest Earthwatch Tiny Forest in Birmingham (www.earthwatch.org.uk/program/tiny-forest/) and take part in other citizen science projects too.
