Handsworth Helping Hands

Handsworth Helping Hands (HHH) is a dedicated voluntary charity that improves the quality of life in Birmingham’s inner suburbs, including Handsworth, Birchfield, and Lozells. The group focuses on: • Environmental action: Conducting neighborhood litter picks, clearing alleyways, managing fly-tipping, and planting public spaces. • Community care: Assisting vulnerable residents with domestic tasks they cannot manage alone. • Sustainability: Upcycling dumped or donated furniture and toys to rehome to families. Their grassroots impact earned them the prestigious Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service (QAVS).
