Summary

Committee co-optees help monitor performance, highlight strengths, and challenge the charity to improve in the committee’s areas.

Detailed description

You will: read reports from executive leaders; provide challenge and support, contribute your knowledge and expertise and add to the variety of viewpoints and diversity during meetings to reach collective decisions; set strategy; provide direction; and you will assess performance. You will complete training relating to safeguarding and be welcome to join governance strategy days charity events.


An estimate of the time required for the role is 31 hours each year, assuming cooption to a single committee. However, much of the work is determined by the academic year and so is concentrated outside the summer holidays.
