Support a Mencap Personal Support Service near you Are you looking for a meaningful team volunteering day that goes beyond the usual corporate away day?

At Royal Mencap Society, we support people with a learning disability to live independently, access their communities and achieve their goals. Our Personal Support Services provide safe, welcoming homes and community spaces and we regularly welcome corporate teams to help us enhance these environments.

What could your team get involved in?

Activities vary depending on the service, but may include:

  • Gardening and outdoor improvements
  • Painting and decorating
  • Creating sensory spaces
  • Small DIY projects
  • Organising activity rooms or communal areas
  • Supporting community-based events

Your team’s time and energy can make an immediate, visible difference to the people who live there.

Why volunteer with us?

✔ A hands-on, impactful day

✔ Strengthen team morale and connection

✔ See the difference your support makes straight away

We work closely with each organisation to plan a structured, safe and meaningful day. A Mencap Volunteer Coordinator will support your group throughout.

Who can take part?

We can typically accommodate teams of up to 8–10 people per day (depending on the service and project). Larger groups may be split across multiple dates or locations.

What your support helps us achieve

Your volunteering helps create welcoming, comfortable and inclusive environments where people with a learning disability can feel proud of their home and connected to their community.

Small improvements can have a big impact.

Interested?

We run corporate volunteer days throughout the year across our Personal Support Services.

To explore opportunities in your area, please get in touch with our Volunteering Team to discuss availability and upcoming projects.

Let’s work together to create a kinder, fairer and more inclusive society.
