Love taking the lead? Plan your own bucket collections, support corporate events, and make real impact with flexible fun and guidance from our fundraising team!

Are you looking for a simple way to raise money for charity? Are you a team player and want to lead others? If so, our Lead Bucket Collection Volunteer role is for you!

We’re looking for volunteers who will not only attend bucket collections, but also act as the 'lead' for the collection itself and be the main representative for Mencap. This involves supporting all other volunteers on the day, checking in with the venue on arrival, helping recruit volunteers for your collections, and banking all money securely after the collection in line with Mencap fundraising guidelines and policies.

You’ll need to be confident, proactive, and trustworthy acting as the lead volunteer for our bucket collections and supporting other volunteers during the bucket collection.

We’re looking for someone who is proactive and will be looking to arrange their own bucket collections; you’ll have complete freedom to apply for collections on dates and locations that work for you, with guidance and support from the Community Fundraising Team on how to find and apply for venues.

You’ll also support our corporates who are looking to organise their own collections, and act as the lead volunteer, banking their money, and attending and supporting them at their collections.
