Bring your food waste & learn how to make compost in our (secret) city centre garden. Wear shoes & clothes for gardening. We provide equipment & refreshments.
You'll help the Compost Co-ordinator to turn food waste into compost using 5 different composting systems. We will think about the benefits of composting, identify a system for your home/ community group/ workplace AND we'll be actively addressing climate change ... food waste in landfill produces powerful greenhouse gases.
The garden is an oasis in the city centre, full of birds, trees, wild and cultivated plants.
